Lady of the Drowned Empire is just…wow

Lady of the Drowned Empire by Frankie Mallis is the third book in the main story following Lyriana. I was so happy to be able to jump straight into the third book after finishing the second (big thanks to the author, Frankie, for the ARC).

Guardian of the Drowned Empire is a perfect sequel

I’m reeling a little bit after finishing Guardian of the Drowned Empire. So much happened, particularly in the last half of the book. I had a number of theories from the first book, Daughter of the Drowned Empire, going into this book, and some were actually confirmed by the end. But let me reiterate. So. Much. Happens. Part of me doesn’t even know where to start because my mind is just a whirlwind after turning the last page.

When a Moth Loved a Bee is heart wrenchingly beautiful

This story alternates between the Girl and the Stranger. They are both lost souls who have forgotten everything to do with their pasts, and it shows them navigating the world separately as they try to remember who they are while starting a new life. The only hint of their past that they remember is the faint memory of someone who they cared for deeply, though they don’t recall the persons face or anything beyond their prior existence.

Daughter of the Drowned Empire was worth the wait

I have been so looking forward to starting this series since I stumbled across it on kindle last year. It’s taken me some time to get around to it (when doesn’t it, TBR struggles amiright?) but ohh was it worth the wait. I’m here to breakdown some of what makes Daughter of the Drowned Empire by Frankie Mallis such an incredible read.

I had a hard time putting The Marriage Auction down

I have been super excited for The Marriage Auction by Audrey Carlan since I stumbled across its upcoming release and presence on Kindle Vella. I have a sick fascination with stories that revolve around marriage competition type things, and this seemed like a similar vibe with the twist that the “competitors” are simply being auctioned off rather than in competition to marry someone. With this different take on this idea, I knew I had to see how this book turned out.
