Pawsome Resort is a very cute farming sim-esque game where you run an animal resort and deal with the day to day running of said business as you grow it. This involves taking in animals as customers arrive throughout the day to board their animals for varying periods of time, as well as discharging other animals as their owners show up to take them back home.
On top of this, you can grow fruits and vegetables which can then either be sold at the local store or used to create food for the various animals you take in, with different fruits or vegetables for different quality recipes. There are also little side quests to be taken on from the villagers and exploration of the town.
I quite enjoyed playing this little game. It’s fun to take on the different animals, unlocking more as you earn money and can get the different enclosures to keep them in, and watching as your business gets steadily busier with increased traffic of clientele as you unlock more animals. The quests added a nice bit of direction to the gameplay loop with the gathering of resources and at times money to have a goal to reach. Perhaps I’m not far enough into the game to see anything further, but I will say I don’t at the moment feel like there is enough to keep me coming back again and again to this game. As much as I liked it, there doesn’t appear to be any story and the interactions with the NPCs seem very basic.
All together a very cute game, though the gameplay loop becomes a bit repetitive without much else to break it up. Definitely worth a play though!
