Diamond Kisses by Pepper Winters is the action packed conclusion this series has been leading up to.

Of course this results in a very anxiety ridden book from start to finish and had me nervous at every turn for the characters I have grown to love so much.

Fields of Mistria

Fields of Mistria is everything I have wanted in a farming sim for a long time. It both manages the nostalgia of games like Harvest Moon (now Story of Seasons) and the old school 90’s vibes, while also bringing brand new qualities to a well traversed genre over recent years.

I instantaneously loved this game so much that I honestly find it hard to say anything negative about it. This is quite possible the best early access game I’ve played thus far and I’m so impressed by how flawless the gameplay is considering it’s status. The only thing I can say is that I desperately want more content such as heart events and storyline, but as this is already planned, AND there is already a huge amount considering its early access state, I can’t be too upset about it.

Suffice it to say I absolutely blew through the current storyline and I now don’t know what to do with myself while I wait for more – here’s hoping it’s not too long of a wait simply because I’m an addict. This has very quickly become a favourite game of mine and has blown my farming simulator loving mind out of the water.

Highly recommend.

Ed Crocker’s Lightfall was an entertaining vampire story

The book begins between the two separate points of view of Sam and First Lord Azzuri, who each offer a unique perspective into different vampire hierarchies. First Lord Azzuri is at the top of the food chain (pun intended) as a vampire who gets the very best of the blood and all the other benefits that come with his position, whereas Sam is at the bottom, receiving the dregs of their society which provides nothing more than sustenance.

A Dark and Drowning Tide by Allison Saft was a read I enjoyed, with a darker academic fantasy kind of vibe that worked really well for it.

I loved the dichotomy between Sylvia and Lorelai, Lorelai being the grumpy main point of view character while Sylvia is her academic rival and of course, romantic interest who is pure sunshine and loved by all.

If You Lie by Caleb Stephens is a fast-paced thriller that has hints of a cult with insidious intentions that make for an intense ride.

Olivia, the main character, is a podcaster who usually researches true crime, and winds up on a cruise with her sister she has been estranged from so they can reconnect. Characters in thrillers who run true crime podcasts has apparently become a recent draw of mine as I can’t seem to get enough of these.
