Blood Over Bright Haven by M. L Wang has an enthralling, unique magic system.

In a world where women are never allowed to become Archmages, Sciona is desperate to be first to pass the exam and follow her dreams of being a top magic user for a living. When she achieves that dream she comes to understand the consequences of what she does and her pursuit of knowledge. This book had a very dark tone to it which I really enjoyed immensely and was not expecting.

Variation by Rebecca Yarros is the kind of romance that I was unable to put down.

I was taken aback by how quickly I was addicted to the story and how much I just wanted to sit down and keep reading until I turned the last page.

Diamond Kisses by Pepper Winters is the action packed conclusion this series has been leading up to.

Of course this results in a very anxiety ridden book from start to finish and had me nervous at every turn for the characters I have grown to love so much.

Fields of Mistria

Fields of Mistria is everything I have wanted in a farming sim for a long time. It both manages the nostalgia of games like Harvest Moon (now Story of Seasons) and the old school 90’s vibes, while also bringing brand new qualities to a well traversed genre over recent years.

I instantaneously loved this game so much that I honestly find it hard to say anything negative about it. This is quite possible the best early access game I’ve played thus far and I’m so impressed by how flawless the gameplay is considering it’s status. The only thing I can say is that I desperately want more content such as heart events and storyline, but as this is already planned, AND there is already a huge amount considering its early access state, I can’t be too upset about it.

Suffice it to say I absolutely blew through the current storyline and I now don’t know what to do with myself while I wait for more – here’s hoping it’s not too long of a wait simply because I’m an addict. This has very quickly become a favourite game of mine and has blown my farming simulator loving mind out of the water.

Highly recommend.

Ed Crocker’s Lightfall was an entertaining vampire story

The book begins between the two separate points of view of Sam and First Lord Azzuri, who each offer a unique perspective into different vampire hierarchies. First Lord Azzuri is at the top of the food chain (pun intended) as a vampire who gets the very best of the blood and all the other benefits that come with his position, whereas Sam is at the bottom, receiving the dregs of their society which provides nothing more than sustenance.
