Sword Catcher is a fantastic start to a new fantasy series from Cassandra Clare

This book contains swords, kings and queens, castles, magic, and the kinds of things you would expect from your typical epic fantasy. It was a very strong start to a new series and new world, and I very much cannot wait for more from this series as I am very much enthralled and invested in it.

I wasn’t ready for how emotional Iron Flame was going to make me

Boy did I somehow not expect to be hit right in the feels almost immediately after starting Iron Flame by Rebecca Yarros. Violet reminiscing about the death of someone very close to her from the previous book, Fourth Wing, had me feeling the pain of it all over again and NO THOSE ARE NOT TEARS IN MY EYES RIGHT NOW. Seriously though, every time I thought I was passed the agony, the book just tried to break me all over again which added up to me being an emotional wreck right from the start.

I loved every single page of Wildfire from Hannah Grace

Aurora has a complicated family that has resulted in some attachment issues on her part. As a result she has a difficult time getting involved with anyone that is anything beyond causal.

Murtagh by Christopher Paolini was everything my teenage self could have asked for and so much more than I could have dreamed of.

Murtagh was always one of my favourite characters in the original Inheritance Cycle and his was one of the stories I desperately wanted more of. To have this wish finally come true is honestly incredible and I was smitten by the deep dive into Murtagh’s mind right from the opening page.

Jennifer L. Armentrout blew me away with Fall of Ruin and Wrath

Fall of Ruin and Wrath by Jennifer L. Armentrout has been on my “must read” list since its announcement. As a big fan of her last adult romantic fantasy, this one sounded even more intriguing and I knew I would be sucked into the world immediately. I was not disappointed in this and very quickly I felt this world was quite possibly the authors most unique and intriguing one yet.
